Baked-Cinnamon-Sugar-Gingerbread-Doughnuts

Doughnuts – who doesn’t love them? We recently bought one of those nifty doughnut pans, and I’ve gotta say I’m hooked! When I made the fried versions in the past they were so much heavier and I felt really unhealthy eating them. Now that I’ve tried making these baked doughnuts a few times, I haven’t felt so unhealthy and I love how light and non-greasy they taste. Definitely a healthier alternative to the traditionally fried doughnut.

As it is the Christmas season, I thought I’d share my favourite baked gingerbread doughnut recipe. It is SO simple, you’ve got to give it a try! Plus if you don’t want to make a run to the store, check out my shopping list at the end of the post for online shopping convenience.

Pop them in the oven for 10 minutes, or until they’re golden brown. Stick a toothpick into one, and if it comes out clean then it’s ready! Let them cool for a few minutes.
