Servings: 6 Doughnuts
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1.5 tbsp Butter Melted
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Paste
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 6.5 tbsp Buttermilk
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 3 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Ginger
  1. Pre-heat your oven to 350°F. Put your flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and baking powder in a bowl and whisk them all together. Set aside.

  2. In a separate bowl, add your melted butter, egg and vanilla paste. Whisk these together. Then add your sugar and maple syrup. Whisk again.
  3. Now you need to add the flour and buttermilk alternately. Add a little of each at a time to the mixture.

  4. Set the mixture aside and grease your doughnut pan. Pour your mixture into a medium ziplock bag and pipe it into the pan. Make sure to fill them up to about 3/4.

  5. Bake for 10 minutes, or until they're golden brown. Stick a toothpick into one, and if it comes out clean then it's ready! Let them cool for a few minutes.

  6. Combine your sugar, cinnamon, and ginger in a bowl. While the doughnuts are still warm, toss them around in the sugar mix until they're fully coated.
